An installation of iconic black-and-white photos from the private collection of renowned photographer and director Estevan Oriol lines the hallway from the main lobby to the hotel pool. Oriol’s portfolio of work juxtaposes the glamorous and gritty planes of LA’s urban and gang culture, and has appeared in the Smithsonian Center for Latino Initiatives and the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA, among others. He’s also a noted celebrity photographer, with past subjects including the likes of Kim Kardashian and Forest Whitaker.
