The hotel is pleased to feature Grammy Sunday with DJ Que Madre (Maryann Aguirre) of the Los Angeles chapter of Chulita Vinyl Club. Chulita Vinyl Club was launched in December 2014 as an all-girl, all-vinyl club for self-identifying womxn of color in the context of providing a space for empowerment and togetherness. They now comprise a female DJ collective spanning 7 national chapters bringing together a community of vinyl loving girls. Learn more about Chulita Vinyl Club’s mission here:
DJ Que Madre spins regularly at of-the-moment DTLA bars and clubs, such as La Cita, The Lash and The Melody Lounge. You can find her upcoming events on her instagram at @que.madre. Her exclusive playlist for Hotel Figueroa features artists ranging from LION BABE to Kali Uchis, and includes “a lot of songs I’m currently obsessed with and listening to.”
otel Figueroa is proud to partner with Love Yoga to host free outdoor yoga classes for hotel guests. (Non-guest tickets available for $15.) Reset and restore from your travels or workweek with an uplifting flow choreographed to upbeat music every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM.
Classes are held at Terrazza, the terracotta tiled, open-air terrace overlooking the iconic pool. Yoga mats, towels, and water are provided. (Classes available rain or shine and will be held indoors as needed.)
Expect to walk out of class feeling transformed!

Founded by Sian Gordon, Kyle Miller and Jeff Schwarz, Love Yoga classes are curated to spark your imagination with metaphor and visualization. The teaching is steeped in the Taoist theory and Sacred Geometry of Katonah Yoga and combines Iyengar and Vinyasa philosophies. Expect perspective shifting dialogue and dynamic sequencing.

Live performances by DTLA’s street musicians set the tone for al fresco brunch at Veranda. Chef Casey Lane’s menu includes morning classics made with an array of local ingredients, as well as Mediterranean-inspired dishes such as wood oven-baked Croque Madame Flatbread topped with egg. Round out your brunch with Veranda’s signature Bloody Marys and sparkling Bellinis.
