Architectural gems, unexpected finds, and culinary offerings are re-imagined within the luxury Los Angeles hotel’s 12,000 square feet of versatile meetings & events space. Allow us to ensure your next Downtown Los Angeles event is legendary.
Gran Sala is the timeless darling of Hotel Figueroa’s meeting and ballroom space in Downtown Los Angeles. Fifteen-foot French glass doors open to a 2,100-square-foot, light-filled room with Spanish Colonial architectural details like arched windows, ironwork chandeliers, tiled insets, and an original limestone fireplace from the 1920s. During the recent renovation, architects excavated a forgotten skylight that spills natural light into the space, giving it an otherworldly ambiance. Fully functional bars can be setup anywhere within Gran Sala for full versatility. This Los Angeles meeting space offers a multitude of configurations for functions, and doors can open to the pool deck for a backdrop of Los Angeles. Accommodates 140 guests.
Aligned with its name, Terrazza is a 1,600-square-foot, open-air terrace connected to the Parador and Cabana suites. Situated on the 2nd floor, the outdoor event space is outlined by wrought iron railing and set with Spanish terracotta tile. Terrazzza accommodates up to 100 guests and presents spectacular views of Downtown Los Angeles as well as Hotel Figueroa's iconic coffin-shaped pool.
Located on the lower level of Hotel Figueroa is Tangier -- the distinctive 2,300-square-foot event space that has remained inspired by the DTLA hotel's more recent Moroccan and Moorish heritage. For decades, it has been the beloved Downtown Los Angeles spot for films, music videos, and Paparazzi-free soirees.
During its revival, Tangier maintained its moody escapist appeal with Moroccan lanterns and six semi-private areas divided by curtains, but a coved ceiling now connects the main bar with a DJ booth and built-in audiovisual accessories, making it a seamless venue for live music and presentations. Accommodates 200 guests.
Rick's (Upper Level)
The upper level of Rick’s offers 1,500 square feet of private outdoor space with coveted views of Hotel Figueroa’s iconic coffin-shaped pool and the downtown L.A. skyline. Ideal for brunch gatherings and luncheons, guests feel transported into a hidden lush oasis encapsulated by a wood trellis draped with lush greenery and a flowing water fountain. On cooler evenings, a white-plastered, Spanish-inspired fireplace warms the patio and creates an enchanting atmosphere for seated dinners or cocktail receptions. Accommodates up to 75 guests.
Bar Alta & Casbah
The intimacy of Dushan Zaric’s 28-seat Bar Alta was not by accident. The 700-square-foot, modern Art Deco-style bar is perched off the lobby mezzanine and presents an incubator for spirited interactions. Cut-glass, retro-style chandeliers cast a warm glow on the three-foot-wide semi-circle table where live performance meets mixology as two dedicated bartenders experiment with centrifuges, evaporators and smokers, and liquid nitrogen is used to chill glassware.
For events that require ultimate discretion, the 300-square-foot, Casablanca Suite yields a sliding wooden bookcase that acts as a secret entrance to Bar Alta’s private room, Casbah, where the walls and ceiling are covered in mirrors. The interior design was meticulously crafted with leathers, stone, luxe fabrics, natural wood, and glass accents throughout. Accommodates 50 guests.
